Funding for Canadian red meat processors
Non-repayable funding for Canadian red meat (beef and veal) slaughter establishments to mitigate challenges and increase processing and production efficiency of kosher and/or halal red meat. Funding supports hiring consultants for efficiency analysis and investments in cost-reducing/productivity enhancing technologies and equipment.

Other Criteria: Federally licensed for-profit organizations incorporated in Canada, Actively engage in red meat slaughter processing and production for kosher and/or halal, or have demonstratable plans to enter the industry, Demonstrate or provide efficiency and/or productivity plans to increase kosher and/or halal production, recommended by a credible internal person or external resource, Identify current engagement in kosher and/or halal red meat production (Kosher, Halal, or Both), Be a legal entity capable of entering into a legally binding agreement, Commit to completing projects by March 31, 2027, Provide a minimum 50% cash contribution to project eligible costs
