Provides eligible further processors and animal feed manufacturers with access to Canadian manufactured dairy ingredients at competitive prices, enhancing their market competitiveness.

Other Criteria: Must be an eligible further processor or animal feed manufacturer, Uses Canadian dairy ingredients to manufacture a finished food product in Canada, Finished food product is not subject to Tariff Rate Quota (import controls), unless approved by the Canadian Milk Supply Management Committee (CMSMC), Finished food product intended for sale to retailers and/or food service/restaurants, Dairy products/ingredients purchased under the SMCPP permit may only be used in the manufacture of an approved further processed product and may not be re-sold, Products with potential to displace existing Canadian dairy products, or with dairy content exceeding 50% (if displacing existing products), may be ineligible, Product must be manufactured/packaged to promote extended shelf life (e.g., sealed, frozen prior to shipment/sale, vacuum sealed, gas flushed, canned, dried), Product labels must be submitted to the CDC, bearing the further processed product's name and ingredient list, Eligible products include examples like: Frozen pastry mix/dry baking mix, Dry and frozen sauce/salad dressing, Frozen cake/pastry/dry and canned soup, Frozen pizza/confectionery products, Frozen dinners/entrΓ©es/milk bread (skim milk powder only), Ghee/clarified butter (packaged/sold for retail in containers of 3kg or less), Snack foods (dry, frozen), Frozen dairy novelties (single serving, max 300 ml, individually packaged/sealed, for retail sale)
