Funding is provided as a contribution, with a maximum of $2 million per year or $10 million over 5 years. AAFC contributes a maximum of 50% of eligible costs (70% for projects targeting specific Indo-Pacific markets or led by underrepresented and marginalized groups). The program supports industry-led promotional activities to increase and diversify Canadian agriculture and agri-food exports to global markets, differentiate Canadian products, and seize market opportunities.

Demographics: Not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, MΓ©tis) individuals or organizations, Businesses majority-owned or led by Indigenous Peoples, Businesses majority-owned or led by youth (39 and under), Businesses majority-owned or led by women, Businesses majority-owned or led by visible minorities, Businesses majority-owned or led by persons with disabilities, Businesses majority-owned or led by 2SLGBTQI+
Other Criteria: Legal entity capable of entering into legally binding agreements, Demonstrate ability to deliver a national and/or agriculture and agri-food sector-wide project, Encourage participation from relevant industry stakeholders, Implement project nationally, Gather support and buy-in from relevant industry stakeholders (via support letters), Associations must operate on a national basis (regional considered if no national representation and project is national/sector-wide in scope), Should be a member of the Canada Brand (recommended), Should consult trade commissioners in target countries/regions (recommended)
