Funds for organizations in defence supply chains
Helps not-for-profit organizations in the Prairie provinces get money to support projects that meet military needs. Covers up to 90% of project costs, requiring at least 10% from other sources.
Provides contributions to accelerate the integration of Prairie businesses and regional ecosystems into defence supply chains. Funding covers up to 75% of eligible project costs for incorporated businesses (repayable over 5 years with no interest, starting 1 year after project end), up to 90% for not-for-profit organizations (non-repayable), and up to 100% for eligible Indigenous applicants.

Other Criteria: Incorporated businesses must be incorporated to conduct business in the Prairies, be within or positioning themselves in the defence supply chain, have been in operation for at least 2 years, have staffed operating facilities in the Prairie provinces, have confirmed funding from all other sources, and be capable of legally binding agreements., Not-for-profit organizations (including post-secondary educational institutions, research centres, business accelerators and incubators, industry associations and consortia, provincial and municipal authorities) must have an operating presence in the Prairies, support businesses responding to military needs, and be capable of legally binding agreements., Indigenous applicants include Indigenous-led not-for-profits and organizations (First Nations, Métis Settlements, Tribal Councils, Indigenous Representative Organizations, Métis and Inuit organizations) as well as Indigenous/First Nation/Métis Settlement owned businesses., All projects must contribute to Canada’s defence industrial base and support military purposes, aligning with defence priority areas., For dual-use technologies, products or services, the military component must be demonstrated.
