Financial support for internships in the book industry
Financial assistance for organizations within the Canadian book industry to hire Canadian interns, providing valuable on-the-job training and contributing to professional development. Funding can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses or $25,000 for standard internships, and up to 75% of eligible expenses or $37,500 for interns from official-language minority, Indigenous, racialized communities, or persons living with a disability. Total aggregate support for any individual recipient is limited to $2,000,000 per year. Overall government assistance cannot exceed 100% of costs for not-for-profit/Indigenous/official-language minority organizations, or 75% for others, with a general program funding level of 50%.
