Funding for supply-managed sectors facilities improvements
Helps for-profit businesses in supply-managed sectors pay for new automated equipment to boost productivity. Covers part of the costs for improving processing facilities.
Non-repayable contributions to support investments in new automated equipment and technology for dairy, poultry, and egg processing facilities to improve productivity and efficiency. Maximum funding is $10 million for dairy processors and $5 million for other eligible applicants. Cost-sharing is required: 50% for SMEs and 25% for large enterprises, with an additional 10% from AAFC where the majority of the business is owned or led by under-represented groups.

Other Criteria: for-profit organizations, corporations, cooperatives, processors of supply-managed commodities, operating in Canada, buying domestic raw commodities (primary source from Canada), predominantly processing supply-managed commodities (at least 2/3 of total inputs) at project location, holding an active federal or provincial processing licence, able to provide financial statements demonstrating ongoing revenues from processing for minimum 2 years prior to application, federally or provincially registered legal entities capable of entering into legally binding agreements, first-time applicants (priority consideration), processors manufacturing products on the import control list (priority consideration), projects that improve productivity (priority consideration)
