Other Criteria: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, Applicant must not be attending school or planning to return to school while enrolled in the program, Applicant must be devoting a minimum of 35 hours per week to their small business and not employed anywhere else, Applicant must not be enrolled in any other government-funded employment program, Applicant must be a resident of Toronto (General Business Stream) or Ontario (Trade Accelerator Stream), Business must be a registered entity (Sole Proprietor, Partnership, Corporation for General Stream; Incorporated under Canada/Ontario BC Act for Trade Accelerator Stream), Business registration documentation must show a Toronto address, Business must have a commercial business bank account corresponding with Business Registration documentation, Business must have majority ownership, Business must have been in operation for minimum 6 months and up to 5 years (General Business Stream), Business must have been in operation for minimum two years (Trade Accelerator Stream), Business must be able to demonstrate financial activity statements for its operational period, Business must be located in Toronto with ability to demonstrate proof of physical address, Business must not be a past recipient of the Retail Accelerator Program, any stream of the Starter Company Plus Grant, or other funding from a Small Business Enterprise Centre within Ontario, Businesses requiring certification/license must be current at the time of application, Businesses must operate year-round (not seasonal) with consistent revenues month over month, Applicant/Business must be able to commit to in-person and/or virtual entrepreneurship training, Business must have already invested 25% of the grant amount ($1,250) into the business at the time of application, Business must have an active Business Number (BN) at the time of application (Trade Accelerator Stream)
