Grants to support transit planning activities towards the development of new or expanded transit solutions, including public engagement, needs assessments, feasibility/viability studies, and surveys.
Industries: public transit, transportation planning
Region: rural areas, remote areas, small communities in Canada, small towns and villages within a Census Metropolitan Area (CMA)
Demographics: Indigenous benefiting organizations
Other Criteria: legal entity capable of entering into legally binding agreements, in good standing with the Government of Canada, A provincial or territorial government, A municipal or regional government created by or under provincial or territorial statute, A public sector body created by or under provincial or territorial statute or by regulation or is wholly-owned by a province, territory, municipal or regional government (e.g., municipally-owned corporations, provincial/territorial organizations delivering municipal services, other forms of local governance), A federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit organization or charity, An Indigenous benefiting organization or recipient (e.g., band council, First Nation/Inuit/Métis government/authority, Indigenous non-profit for Indigenous outcomes, Indigenous development corporation), For projects serving communities with populations between 50,000 and 150,000, applicants must demonstrate how their project specifically targets their rural populations
