Financial assistance for charging stations for multi-unit residential buildings
Financial assistance (rebate) for the purchase or long-term leasing, and installation of electric vehicle charging stations in eligible multiple dwelling buildings. Funding is 50% of eligible expenses, up to $5,000 per charging station/connector, with annual maximums per building based on dwelling units ($20,000 for 3-9 units, $40,000 for 10-19 units, $49,000 for 20+ units). Eligible expenses include purchase/leasing, installation, oversizing electrical infrastructure, professional fees, energy management devices/software, and permits.

Other Criteria: Applicants can be building owners or managers, co-ownership syndicates, resident owners or tenants, property developers, property managers, businesses, municipalities, or organizations (that have acquired an EV used by an employee living in a multiple dwelling building)., Buildings must be multiple dwelling buildings with 5 or more dwelling units (or 3-4 units if built before October 1, 2018)., Buildings can be for residential or mixed-use., Buildings must have parking spaces grouped in a common area., Residents applying must possess an electric vehicle (fully electric, plug-in hybrid, or electric motorcycle) registered in their name and can own or rent their place of residence., Charging stations must be new and appear on the list of eligible charging stations., Eligible charging stations can be wireless or equipped with one or more connectors, allowing for simultaneous charging if multiple connectors are present., Charging stations must provide Level 2 charging (compatible and installed to operate at 208V or 240V AC)., Installation work, particularly for electricity supply infrastructure, must be performed by an electrical contractor as per the Québec Construction Code.
