Funding to support businesses and organizations entering or growing within defence supply chains, increasing industrial and innovation capacity to meet Canada’s defence and security needs while strengthening regional economic development.

Other Criteria: For-profit businesses must be incorporated and registered to do business in Canada or Ontario for at least 3 years, For-profit businesses must employ a minimum of 5 full-time equivalent employees in southern Ontario, For-profit businesses must be within defence supply chains or looking to integrate into them, Not-for-profit organizations must be incorporated and support businesses and/or capability development in the defence sector in southern Ontario, Projects must address a market demand or opportunity within defence supply chains, including dual-use applications or pivots to defence markets, Projects must contribute to enhancing Canada’s defence industrial capacity for the future, Projects must demonstrate how they contribute to Canada’s defence industrial base that support military purposes, Projects must indicate how they would benefit the Government of Canada or the NATO Alliance directly or indirectly, All supported activities must fall under NATO’s spending target, Applicants can only submit one distinct application to FedDev Ontario at a time across any open programs
