Financial assistance for Ontario community projects
Provides funding to employers for projects that offer work experience to unemployed Ontarians, benefiting the community and local economy. For job seekers, it offers paid work experience through EI benefits or provincial financial assistance, along with skill development, resume building, and increased chances of long-term employment.

Other Criteria: Eligible employer types: not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, Indigenous councils, institutions, and organizations, public health and educational institutions, businesses, Employer projects must provide meaningful work experience to unemployed Ontarians, Employer projects must help the community and benefit the local economy, Employer project activities must not be part of the organizationβs normal operations, Employer projects must have a defined start and end date, Employer projects must not be longer than 52 weeks, Participant must be a resident of Ontario, Participant must be unemployed, Participant must be legally authorized to work in Canada, Participant must meet at least one of the following criteria: have an active employment insurance (EI) claim, have an EI benefit period that ended within the past 5 years, have paid employee premiums in at least three of the previous 10 years (where earnings have been at least $2,000 in each of those years), received the employment insurance emergency response benefit within the previous 60 months
