LIFT's Production and Post-Production Support Grant offers equipment rental credits to filmmakers based in the Greater Toronto Area who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, newcomers, or refugees. In recent years, the grant has provided $2,000 in equipment rental credits per filmmaker.
Provides equipment rental credits for production and post-production projects. Based on past programs, it offered up to $2,000 in equipment rental credits per filmmaker for up to eight projects ($16,000 a year commitment). These details are subject to change when the 2026 grant is launched.

Other Criteria: Individual members of LIFT (General or Production levels) in good standing, All outstanding debts to LIFT must be paid in full, Student projects are eligible if extra-curricular and confirmed by an advisor/instructor (Thesis film projects included if extra-curricular), Previous grant recipients are eligible to apply if prior projects are completed, final reports submitted, and final copies of work provided to LIFT (or grant waived for incomplete projects), Applicants must hold, and retain, creative and editorial control in the director and/or the filmmaker role, as well as copyright to the project, Only one project per application deadline, Collaborative projects are eligible (one LIFT member must submit the project in their name, including résumés for all participants), Projects must have key film and digital (time-based moving image) components, Priority given to celluloid-focused projects (all formats eligible)
