Support for work experience projects
Helps organizations in the Northwest Territories pay for local projects that provide work experience or guarantee jobs. Supports activities for up to 52 weeks.
Provides financial support to organizations for delivering local activities that offer work experience, training, or guaranteed employment for unemployed individuals. Funding covers wages, project overhead, supplies, equipment rentals, license fees, administrative costs, and tuition or course costs.

Other Criteria: Eligible applicant organizations include boards, agencies, municipal governments, Indigenous organizations, non-profit groups, businesses, employer/employee associations and post-secondary institutions., Projects must deliver local activities, which either include a work experience component, or guarantee employment at the end of the project., Work experience projects may also include a skills development component., Project organizationโs proposal must have a minimum of two (2) community partners., Each partner must represent a different community component (such as Municipality, Indigenous Governments, Employer, etc.)., Eligible projects include group skills training such as Literacy and numeracy, Upgrading, Workplace essential skills, Life skills, Employment readiness programs, Pre-employment training courses, and Skill-specific training programs.
