Helps businesses develop a new chemical imaging system to detect dangerous substances. Provides support for research and development of this innovative technology.
Funding for the development of a field-deployable tunable quantum cascade laser (QCL) based standoff chemical imaging system prototype. This solution is for detecting hazardous chemicals relevant to defence, security, and CBRNE threats, with potential future applications in public safety, forensic investigation, and environmental surveillance. Solutions are not intended for acquisition by Canada, but can leverage the Innovative Solutions Canada Pathway to Commercialization.
