Exclusive legal rights in Canada to reproduce, manufacture, import, or commercially exploit an integrated circuit topography or products incorporating it, protecting it from unauthorized copying and use.

Other Criteria: current owner of the topography (creator or successor in title), meets nationality requirements (Canadian or from countries with reciprocal IP agreements), application filed within two years of first commercial exploitation of the topography
