Help to hire permanent foreign workers
Provides Canadian employers with information, guidance, and various pathways to hire temporary and permanent foreign workers, addressing labour and skill shortages. The program facilitates access to a diverse talent pool including French-speaking, bilingual, youth, and international students, through programs like the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) and the International Mobility Program (IMP), and supports workers in obtaining work permits or permanent residency.
Industries: all industries (to address labour and skill shortages), agriculture, maritime, home care
Region: Canada, Quebec, outside Quebec, Atlantic provinces, Rural and Northern communities
Demographics: French-speaking workers, bilingual workers, youth (18-35 years old), international students
Other Criteria: Demonstrate a need for a foreign worker, Demonstrate that no Canadians or permanent residents are available to do the job (for LMIA-required positions), Meet LMIA exemption criteria (for International Mobility Program), Become a designated employer (for specific regional pilots like Atlantic Immigration Program, Rural or Francophone Community Immigration pilots), Provide a valid job offer, Pay an employer compliance fee (for International Mobility Program), Submit an offer of employment form through the Employer Portal (for International Mobility Program)
