Supports Canadian artists, groups, and arts organizations for the research, development, creation, production, and sharing of artistic work from initial idea to public presentation. It also funds professional development and provides multi-year support to incorporated not-for-profit artist-driven organizations. Application Assistance is available for eligible applicants facing barriers to help with the application process.

Other Criteria: Canadian citizens or permanent residents with training in their art form who are recognized by peers as professionals, Canadian artists, curators, artistic groups (bands, collectives, ensembles), and arts organizations (not-for-profit, for-profit, and business cultural connectors), Applicants must fit one of the Canada Council's revised applicant profiles (e.g., Artist or arts worker, Artistic group, Artistic organization, First Nations, Inuit or Métis Cultural Carrier, etc.), Incorporated not-for-profit arts organizations are eligible for multi-year funding through the Artist-driven Organizations opportunity
