Grants and advisory to grow in eastern Ontario
Financial support and advisory services for business growth and community economic development in Eastern Ontario. Funding can be structured as loans (up to 15% of eligible project costs, max $5M, with up to $500K forgivable) or grants (up to 15% for businesses, max $500K for rural SMEs or $1.5M for strategic projects; up to 50% for community projects, max $1.5M). Complementary advisory services are available regardless of funding outcome.

Other Criteria: For-profit incorporated businesses (not sole proprietorships or start-ups): minimum 3 years of operations/financial statements, employ at least 10 people (or 5 if in rural Ontario), commit to creating at least 5 new jobs (or 30% increase for companies with fewer than 15 employees), invest at least $500,000 (or $200,000 if in rural Ontario)., Community economic development projects: led by municipalities, Indigenous communities, incorporated non-governmental organizations (with economic development mandate), industry/sector associations, or consortia of businesses led by at least 1 not-for-profit organization; focus on economic/business development and job creation; invest more than $100,000; have private sector support; activities new to the organization., Projects located in, or planning to locate in, a community in eastern Ontario.
