Loans for social enterprises in Atlantic Canada
Gives rural Atlantic Canadian social enterprises a loan of up to $150,000 to start or improve their business.
Repayable loans and loan guarantees with competitive interest rates and repayment terms up to ten years. Funds can be used to purchase, renovate, or expand assets, machinery, equipment, or other items necessary for continued revenue-generating business operations of social enterprises. CBDCs may provide financial assistance in excess of $150,000 in certain instances.

Other Criteria: Must be a Social Enterprise (business/organization that produces/sells goods/services to generate income to support social and community development goals, with revenue generation beyond public grants), Must be a non-profit organization, including charities, cooperatives, or societies, Must be an officially registered non-profit organization, New and existing Social Enterprise businesses are eligible, Social Enterprises may be seasonal or year-round, Social Enterpriseβs business operations should provide a realistic expectation of economic viability, ensure sound business practices, and facilitate job creation and maintenance in your community
