This program encourages private donors to contribute to endowment funds for not-for-profit professional arts organizations, helping them access new funding sources. It supports long-term stability by matching private donations to create or increase endowment funds, up to $1 for every $1 raised. The application must be submitted jointly by a not-for-profit professional arts organization and an associated public foundation.
Matching funds, up to one dollar for every dollar raised from private donors, to create or increase endowment funds for not-for-profit professional arts organizations, improving their long-term financial health and capacity. The maximum annual matching amount is conditional on prior funding received and the arts organization's average annual operating revenues.

Other Criteria: Application must be submitted jointly by a not-for-profit professional arts organization and an associated public foundation., Both parties must meet specific eligibility criteria., For the associated foundation: Must be a publicly registered charitable foundation at the time of application, as described in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act, and have a mandate to accumulate, administer, and invest capital assets for the purpose of providing part or all the annual income to the beneficiary arts organization., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must be incorporated under the appropriate federal, provincial, or territorial legislation., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must be a registered charity that is designated as a charitable organization by Canada Revenue Agency., For the beneficiary arts organization: Principal mission must be the creation, production, or presentation of professional artistic works, or the training of professional artists., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must have received support from CAPF, CATF, FCBT, CCA, or a municipal/provincial/territorial arts council within the last five fiscal years., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must demonstrate operating at a professional level (e.g., paid artistic director, pays artistic fees at national standards, or for training organizations: professional program, admission/selection/evaluation process, qualified staff)., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must have been in operation for a minimum of three years prior to the application., For the beneficiary arts organization: Must have reached a certain degree of financial health and demonstrated commitment to its long-term sustainability (revenue diversification, sound organizational structure and governance at arm’s length)., For the beneficiary arts organization: Cannot have a negative net assets ratio in excess of 15% of the total operating revenues for the fiscal year., Private donations eligible for matching must have been raised and deposited in the 24 months preceding the application deadline (e.g., December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2025 for a December 1, 2025 deadline)., Minimum of $5,000 of eligible private sector donations must have been deposited with the associated foundation over the last 24 months prior to the deadline.
