Aims to offset publishing costs, build capacity, and enhance competitiveness in the Canadian book industry. Funding covers up to 50% of eligible expenses (75% for priority groups) with varying maximums per project type: up to $25,000-$37,500 for publishing internships, $30,000-$45,000 for technology internships, and up to $50,000 for business planning projects. Support also prioritizes projects focused on inclusion, diversity, equity, accessible publishing, and innovative technology strategies.

Other Criteria: Must be a publishing firm, Must have received funding from the CBF's Publishing Support sub-component in 2024-2025 OR from the Canada Council for the Arts' Supporting Artistic Practice – Literary Publishers program in the most recent funding cycle (applies to all project types), For Publishing and Business Planning projects: Total sales of own titles under $1 million, For internships: Must hire a Canadian intern who is not an existing employee and has not previously benefited from a CBF-funded internship, For internships: Applicant must demonstrate capacity to provide a productive training environment, For technology internships: Project must emphasize acquisition and application of innovative technology skills in production, marketing, or information management, and include a knowledge transfer strategy, For business planning projects: Must contribute to the development of a business, succession, or strategic plan related to significant business shifts (e.g., inclusion, diversity, equity, accessible publishing)
