Wage subsidy of up to $20,000 (60% of youth's salary) to hire eligible young talent in the bio-economy, including wrap-around services (case management, training, disability accommodations, relocation/transportation support, childcare, etc.), and employer onboarding tools.

Other Criteria: Employer must work within the bio-economy, Employer must maintain an internal process for supervising and mentoring participants, Employer must provide a full-time position (30 hours per week or more) for a minimum of 3 months, Employer must assign a mentor/job coach to participants, Employer must submit progress reports as requested by BioTalent Canada, Employer must contribute at least 40% of the total salary of each participant, Position must not be funded by another Federally funded program (e.g., IRAP, Mitacs), Youth participants must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive), Youth participants must be new hires to the organization, Youth participants must not be in school full-time (part-time students can apply), Youth participants must be able to work full-time, Youth participants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person (as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act), Youth participants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation, Youth participants must be Barriered Youth, including (but not limited to): Involuntarily NEET, living with disabilities, in Official Language Minority communities, Indigenous, recent immigrant and/or refugee, from racialized community groups, 2SLGBTQI+, experiencing homelessness or precarious housing, living in low-income households, residing in rural or remote areas, living with family care responsibilities (single parent, caregiver), early leavers from high school, underemployed, women in STEM, Youth participants must be Youth Furthest from Employment: chronically not in employment, education or training (NEET) for at least 6 months, AND have other unmet basic needs (e.g., income security, housing, disability, health) that undermine employability, Youth interested in participating must find a placement before the application process starts
