Hire qualified foreign workers permanently in Atlantic Canada
A pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates to live and work in Atlantic Canada. Includes the option to apply for a 2-year employer-specific temporary work permit while the permanent residence application is processed. Spouses or common-law partners of work permit holders can apply for an open work permit. Candidates are connected with settlement services to develop a settlement plan.
Region: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador
Other Criteria: Must be a skilled foreign worker or an international graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada, Must receive a job offer from a designated employer in one of Canada's 4 Atlantic provinces, Can be living abroad or in Canada as a temporary resident, Employers must be located in Atlantic Canada and become 'designated' by the provincial government (no cost), Employers must hire for jobs they haven't been able to fill locally, Candidates applying for a temporary work permit must meet requirements for language, education, and work experience (work experience not required for international graduates)
