Financial support to help Canadian SMEs access compute power for innovative AI projects. The fund covers up to two-thirds of eligible costs for Canadian cloud-based AI compute services and up to half for non-Canadian cloud-based AI compute services.

Other Criteria: Canadian-registered for-profit company, Fewer than 500 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, Revenue-generating and/or able to demonstrate investor interest through a minimum of Series A financing, Have a research and development (R&D) team based in Canada and be willing to carry out project activities in Canada, Develop AI products or services with a commercialization plan demonstrating a clear path to market, Have contracts, invoices, or other documentation for compute services either in place or in progress at the time of application (required before Contribution Agreement finalized), Consortiums of organizations must apply through one eligible corporation as the project lead applicant, Indigenous businesses (at least 51% owned and controlled by Indigenous Peoples) may be eligible if unincorporated, for-profit, demonstrate clear benefit to Indigenous communities, and operate as a sole proprietorship, partnership, cooperative, or micro-enterprise.
