Repayable contributions for agri-sector innovation projects
Provides repayable contributions to incent targeted commercialization, demonstration, and/or adoption of commercial-ready innovative technologies and processes that increase agricultural and agri-food sector competitiveness and sustainability benefits.

Other Criteria: For-profit organization incorporated in Canada, Legal entity capable of entering into legal binding agreements, Projects must involve technology demonstration, commercialization, and/or adoption activities, Innovation must be new to the modern Canadian agricultural or agri-food sector, not yet widely adopted in other countries, and undergo significant adaptation or customization, Innovation must be commercially ready with all technical aspects addressed (e.g., prototypes/pilot scale testing complete; generally considered Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or above), For adoption projects, a significant level of adaptation or customization must be demonstrated, Project must provide significant benefits to the broader Canadian agricultural or agri-food sector, extending beyond those that primarily benefit the applicant, Applicants must demonstrate managerial, technical, and financial capacity to complete the project and deliver the expected benefits, Organizations majority-owned or led (more than 50%) by one or more under-represented groups may qualify for an additional 10% on the cost-share ratio (AAFC 60% : You 40%)
