Helps organizations improve quality assurance in the kosher and halal red meat sector. Supports initiatives that share information and meet market demands.
Contribution funding of up to $50,000 per year for for-profit organizations to support initiatives aimed at developing quality assurance systems, integrating kosher and/or halal slaughter practices, and obtaining initial market-specific certifications for Canadian red meat (beef and veal) products. Eligible activities include contracting professional services for certification, salaries for staff working on certification, travel for certification, and lab test costs.
