Cash advances for farmers
Helps farmers get a cash advance to support their agricultural production. Covers half the expected market value of their products, with low interest and some costs paid by the government.
The program provides low-cost cash advances to agricultural producers based on up to 50% of the anticipated market value of eligible agricultural products. It offers an interest-free portion, typically $100,000, extended to $250,000 for 2024-2025 program years, and $500,000 for canola advances in 2025-2026. This provides cash flow and marketing flexibility.
