Helps small to medium-sized businesses in Nova Scotia hire ready-to-work individuals. Provides financing to support these employment efforts.
For employers: Offers wage incentives to offset salary/benefit costs, funding for employee training, and funding for equipment/other direct costs when hiring eligible unemployed Nova Scotians. For individuals: Provides a START Marketing Letter to help promote skills and the program to potential employers.
