Funding for collaborations and networks projects
Helps Canadian businesses and non-profits collaborate on large projects to boost innovation and technology development. Provides funding for projects that enhance research and commercialization efforts.
Financial contributions, generally non-repayable, for large-scale, collaborative innovation networks. Funding supports industrial research, technology demonstration, business scale-up, and commercialization activities, with a minimum SRF contribution of $10 million for projects with total eligible costs of at least $20 million. Aims to develop Canadian enterprises, accelerate technology transfer, attract investments, create jobs, and improve public good through innovation.

Other Criteria: lead applicant must be a not-for-profit organization or a for-profit corporation, both incorporated in Canada, projects must foster large, collaborative business-led projects and innovation networks in areas where Canada has a demonstrated advantage, lead applicants will work in collaboration with Canadian universities, colleges, research institutes, for-profit corporations (including SMEs and large corporations) and/or not-for-profit entities, project activities should focus on Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) 1 to 9, specifically TRLs 3-7 for National Innovation Networks or TRLs 1-7 for Collaborative Technology Development and Demonstration projects, projects must have a clear path to commercialization and involve a high degree of collaboration, total project costs must be at least $20,000,000, lead applicants are responsible for managing the network's projects, distributing funding, reporting on results, and furthering the sustainability of the network
