Other Criteria: not-for-profit organization, legally registered and in good standing under applicable legislation, at least three years of operational history in Alberta, primary mandate to present visual arts exhibitions and related programming, demonstrates sustained commitment to visual arts development, presentation, and promotion, operates an annual public exhibition program, operates a gallery or exhibition space accessible to the public for at least 1,000 hours per year, meets basic standards for security and presentation of exhibited works, employs at least one full-time equivalent (FTE) administrative or artistic staff member responsible for planning and directing gallery programs, at least half of board members reside in Alberta, operates at armβs length from municipalities and other publicly funded institutions, demonstrates sound governance practices, strong administrative systems, fiscal responsibility, and a clear artistic mandate, contracts with exhibiting artists and pays artist fees in accordance with Canadian copyright legislation and CARCC fee schedules, complies with Canadian Arts Database financial and statistical reporting requirements, maintains a board-approved cash reserve policy
