Co-investment and advisory support for collaborative technology projects in the plant-based food, feed, and ingredients value chain, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and economic reconciliation.

Other Criteria: Consortiums of three or more companies, Projects must have a clear connection to plant protein, Projects must fall under one of the strategic pillars: development, scaling and optimization of plant-based ingredients; conversion of Canadian-made ingredients and co-products into consumption-ready goods; or investing in sustainable technology, Projects are expected to show advancements in environmental sustainability, Projects are expected to make efforts toward economic reconciliation, Consortia must be collaborative, leverage strengths, address gaps, and incent innovation, Projects must engage diverse and inclusive teams with meaningful participation of women, Indigenous Peoples and/or other under-represented groups, Projects must align with Protein Industries Canada’s Investment Thesis and Global Innovation Cluster priorities, Specific calls under AI program and Genomics stream also accepted
