Support for Canadian businesses facing the impacts of tariffs
Helps businesses in the Prairie provinces adapt to trade disruptions and improve their competitiveness. Provides funding for projects that boost productivity and resilience against future trade issues.
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) provides contributions to businesses affected by tariffs and to not-for-profit organizations supporting them. It offers two types of support: Liquidity Assistance (non-repayable funding up to $2 million for short-term financial pressures) and Pivot Projects (non-repayable funding up to $1 million, or repayable funding over $1 million up to $20 million, for activities that improve productivity, competitiveness, and reduce exposure to trade disruptions).
