Funding to support business growth in the Prairies
Non-repayable (or potentially repayable) funding provided as periodic reimbursements for projects that create, grow, and nurture inclusive regional innovation ecosystems in the Prairie provinces. It supports not-for-profit organizations (and certain Indigenous-owned businesses) that help businesses innovate, grow, and compete globally, particularly in priority sectors and for under-represented groups. Advisory services are also provided for connections and pathfinding to other funding.
Industries: clean technology, clean resources, life sciences, precision healthcare, value-added agriculture, advanced manufacturing, digital technology
Region: Prairie provinces
Demographics: women, Indigenous peoples, youth, under-represented groups
Other Criteria: not-for-profit organizations (including post-secondary educational institutions, business accelerators and incubators, angel networks, Indigenous organizations, social enterprises, industry associations/consortia, municipalities, other levels of government, provincial or crown corporations), Indigenous-owned businesses (specifically mentioned as eligible alongside not-for-profits), legal entities capable of entering into legally binding agreements, providing support or services to innovative businesses, building an inclusive and stronger innovation ecosystem at the heart of your organization, project must support growth and transformation OR inclusiveness, project costs must be incremental and essential to the project, applicant organization must be financially self-sustaining, secured at least 50% of non-PrairiesCan requested project financing before applying
