Non-repayable contributions and support for not-for-profit organizations in British Columbia to foster inclusive regional innovation ecosystems, support business needs, and enhance competitiveness for SMEs and under-represented groups through activities like technology commercialization, business scale-up, and entrepreneurial support.

Other Criteria: Applicant must be one of the following legal entities: not-for-profit organizations, post-secondary educational institutions, Business Accelerators and Incubators, angel networks, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) organizations (including Indigenous-led not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous-owned businesses), social enterprises, industry associations/consortia, or municipalities/municipal-type organizations., Applicant organization must support businesses, innovators, and entrepreneurs in areas such as start-up, growth, productivity, technology commercialization, technology adoption, export, and investment attraction., Applicant organization must be financially self-sustaining (demonstrated via financial statements)., Project must support a regional innovation ecosystem to respond to a specific challenge, opportunity, or market need, with emphasis on technology commercialization, business scale-up, or business acceleration/incubation., Project must support one of two priority areas: Cluster growth (within specified sectors) OR Inclusiveness (for specified under-represented groups)., Project must align with one or more of PacifiCan’s priorities., Project must address strong market/industry demand and demonstrate measurable economic benefits for British Columbia., Project must have effective governance measures and management team in place., Project must have a strong rationale., Leveraged funding (typically 50% or more from provincial governments, private sector, and other non-government sources) must be secured and confirmed with written proof before applying.
