Funding contribution covering up to 90% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $57,500 over 18 months, for youth intern salary, employee benefits, equipment, and training.

Other Criteria: Applicant is a not-for-profit organization, Indigenous (First Nation/Métis/Inuit) community or organization, or a municipality/municipal organization, Youth intern must be unemployed or underemployed (aged 30 and under), Youth intern must have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution, Youth intern must be legally entitled to work in Canada, Youth intern must not have previously participated as a youth intern in FedNor's programs or any other federal or provincial internship program with pay for a period of six months or more, Youth intern must not be related to the directors, officers or managers of the applicant organization, Applicant organization and the youth intern must both be located in Northern Ontario, Internship project requires a work plan and mentoring/supervisory arrangement, Internship project requires demonstrated networking opportunities for the intern, Internship project requires a post-internship retention plan, Internship project requires endorsement by an appropriate or regulatory body, including union concurrence, where applicable, Internship project requires a fair and transparent recruitment, interview and hiring process
