The Métis Employment Services program offers comprehensive support for Métis individuals seeking employment or post-secondary education, and for employers looking to hire Métis talent. Benefits for individuals include post-secondary financial aid (up to $15,000 for tuition/fees for year 4, plus childcare support and income support), funding for essential work tools, attire, and safety certifications, and access to certified training and real-world work experience. Employers can access a bank of skilled Métis individuals, utilize job posting services, receive wage incentives (up to 50% of wages) for hiring Métis workers, and partner for customized group training projects. Childcare support is provided on a case-by-case basis, up to $75 per week per child (max 3 dependents ages 12 and under).

Other Criteria: Must be a member of the Otipemisiwak Métis Students Association (OMSA), Must show proof of Métis citizenship by submitting a current Métis Nation of Alberta citizenship card, Proof of Alberta residency, For individuals seeking post-secondary funding: Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program in Alberta or elsewhere in Canada, For individuals seeking post-secondary funding: Must work with an Rupertsland Institute Student Advisor and commit to a Student Action Plan, For individuals seeking post-secondary funding: Must sign a disclosure citing all sources of funding received or applied for, For employers: Willingness to provide Métis individuals with career-related work experience and training, For employers: Plan to hire Métis workers permanently (for Employment Partnership program), For employers: Willingness to offer summer job opportunities to Métis youth (for Youth Summer Employment program), For employers: Partner with RLI to develop customized group training projects
