Funding for research capacity in Northern Ontario
Helps Northern Ontario universities and colleges improve their research capabilities. Supports projects that transform key economic sectors in the region.
Funding is available for Industrial Research Chairs, covering costs such as the chair holder's salary and mandatory benefits, construction or renovation of laboratories, acquiring/operating/maintaining research equipment, research materials, and expenses for publishing research findings. Chairs are eligible for funding for up to five years.
