Support for Indigenous business development in the cannabis sector
Helps Indigenous cannabis businesses pay for licensing, permits, and capital to start or grow their operations. Provides up to $1 million in funding.
Non-repayable contributions for business planning, design, and capital investments within the regulated cannabis sector. Supports feasibility studies, business planning, advisory services, licensing, permitting, design costs, capital contributions for start-up, expansion, or transition to regulation, and business-related training. Funding caps apply: up to 75% of business planning costs, up to 75% of training and advisory services, and up to 40% of eligible capital costs. The program aims to advance Indigenous business development, create employment, increase Indigenous representation, promote health and safety, and assist with regulatory navigation.
