The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact (HCi3) Fund
Support for innovative equitable low-carbon transition projects
Helps organizations implement climate solutions that promote equity and job creation. Covers 80% of project costs up to $75,000 for 24 months.
Non-repayable funding for projects up to 24 months, aimed at scaling up and accelerating climate solutions to reduce GHG emissions, promote social equity, and advance Reconciliation within Nova Scotia communities. Grants can cover up to 80% of total project costs.

Region: Nova Scotia, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)
Demographics: historically racialized or marginalized groups or communities, Indigenous communities, African Nova Scotian communities
Other Criteria: organizations and companies (excluding individuals, schools/classrooms, provincially owned entities, political parties), lead to direct and/or potential GHG reductions over 20 years, secure minimum 20% matching funds (cash or in-kind), demonstrate scalability or replicability, yield multiple community benefits (e.g., affordability, job creation, resilience, health and well-being, social equity, Reconciliation), foster strong partnerships within the community, commit to advancing a Reconciliation economy, project completion within a maximum of 24 months, priority for initiatives to scale up and accelerate their impact
