Co-investment funding of up to $1,000,000 for R&D and demonstration projects focused on electric vehicle and battery manufacturing technologies. Projects must include a minimum 2:1 matching contribution from applicants and/or private sector partners, with a maximum total project budget of $3,000,000 over 24 months. Supports commercialization and demonstration of Ontario-made technologies in priority areas like light/heavy duty vehicles, charging infrastructure, and ITS.

Other Criteria: Fewer than 500 global, full-time employees, Must have registered operations in Ontario and carry out project in Ontario, Requires one applicant and a minimum of one partner, Partnerships should represent significant potential commercial opportunities for all parties, Projects should be at Technology Readiness Level 3-9 (i.e., not for feasibility or basic technology research), Applicant and partners should demonstrate close collaboration and scalable outcomes with high potential for commercialization, strong commercial pull, competitive advantage, Eligible projects MUST include demonstration of actual products that can be showcased in Ontario, Applicants who have received over $500,000 of funding from OCI administered programs (excluding TalentEdge) are required to obtain OCI approval before a new application for funding is initiated
