Grants for businesses that employ reservists
Helps civilian employers of reservists cover costs when their employees are deployed for full-time duty. Provides financial assistance for operational expenses incurred during these deployments.
One-time financial support to civilian employers of reservists and self-employed reservists. The grant aims to offset operational costs incurred when reservist employees deploy on full-time operational duty (domestically or abroad). Payment is a lump sum equivalent to 40% of the Yearly Maximum Pensionable Earnings (YMPE), calculated based on the number of weeks of active military activity, up to a maximum of 78 weeks (18 months).

Other Criteria: Must be a Canadian employer (private sector, municipal, provincial, or territorial government) or a self-employed reservist., Employer of a reservist employee who is a member of the Primary Reserve or Canadian Rangers., The reservist employee is being deployed on a Chief of Defence Staff directed operation or participating in military skills training for a minimum duration of 30 days., For employers: The reservist employee must have worked for the organization for a minimum of 30 hours per week, for 13 consecutive weeks (three consecutive months) prior to the leave of absence for active military activity., For self-employed reservists: The business must be real, active, and represent the main source of employment/income for a minimum of 13 consecutive weeks (three consecutive months) prior to the leave of absence for active military activity.
