Helps Indigenous businesses in Manitoba with advice and some financial support. Offers guidance and funding to grow and succeed.
The Indigenous Business Development Services (IBDS) program provides business information, advisory services, training, and resources for Indigenous entrepreneurs. It also offers grants to Community Futures organizations (up to $5,000 for IFI CFs, $1,000 for non-IFI CFs) to deliver services and training to First Nations, Metis, or Inuit communities in rural and northern Manitoba. Community Futures also offers flexible loans (up to $150,000) for new start-ups, expansions, or business purchases in rural communities, with fixed interest rates and no repayment penalties. Application and administration fees apply for loans.
