The program supports the circulation of works, shows, or exhibitions within Québec. It aims to generate exposure for artists and curators within Québec, extend the lifespan of works, facilitate encounters between the public and the works, and grow audiences.
Financial assistance covering up to 75% of the total project cost for the circulation, dissemination, and promotion of artistic works, shows, or exhibitions within Québec, including living, travel, shipping, equipment, promotion, agency, and administration expenses.
Industries: Architectural research, Arts and crafts, Circus arts, Dance, Digital arts, Film and video art, Literature and storytelling, Multidisciplinary arts, Music, Popular song, Theatre, Visual arts
Region: Québec, Must reside in Québec for at least the preceding 12 months
Other Criteria: Professional artists or independent curators, Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, Must meet specific experience requirements for artists or curators (e.g., public presentations, peer recognition, publications independent of education), For individuals: personal projects not part of activities of a corporation/partnership (if shareholder) or non-profit organization (if employee), Application must be submitted at least four weeks before the project start date, Project must include at least three presentations or require a five-night stay away from home (exceptions for promotional presentations), Application must be accompanied by written confirmation from at least one recognized venue, Must have submitted Grant Use Reports for all previously completed CALQ projects, May not have more than three CALQ projects under consideration, supported, or underway simultaneously, Maximum of five applications/grants per CALQ fiscal year, For Music and Popular Song: project cannot be supported by both CALQ and SODEC
