This program provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters. It aims to give Canadians access to a variety of professional artistic experiences in their communities. Special consideration may be given to applications from or supporting Indigenous, Black, racialized, official language minority and 2SLGBTQI+ communities.
Provides financial assistance to support existing professional arts festivals and performing arts series presenters. Funding enables activities connecting artists with Canadians, including performances, audience development, and outreach initiatives. Support is available as grants (up to $100,000) or contributions (up to $500,000 for festivals, $200,000 for presenters), with exceptional funding up to $1,000,000 for large festivals and higher percentages for underserved communities. The program gives special consideration to organizations from or supporting Indigenous, Black, racialized, official language minority, 2SLGBTQI+ communities, women-led organizations, or those serving D/deaf people and people with disabilities.
