Helps businesses in BC pay for employee training programs. Covers 80% of training costs, up to $10,000 per employee each year.
Reimbursement for 80% of eligible skills training costs for current or prospective employees, up to $10,000 per participant and an annual maximum of $300,000 per employer, aimed at improving job security or creating new employment.

Other Criteria: Employers seeking to invest in skills training for new hires or existing employees., Employer must contribute 20% of training costs., Training must result in increased job security, a better job, or a job for an unemployed person., Employee participants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)., Training cannot exceed 52 weeks in length., Training cannot be for diploma or degree programs, in full or in part., Priority given to first-time applicants, small businesses, and applicants from regions and industries experiencing the greatest challenges acquiring skilled workers (e.g., forest sector).
