Non-repayable funding contributions up to $20,000 for early-stage project development activities in the screen industries, covering deliverables like detailed pitch decks, series outlines, preliminary audience development plans, story editor services, and paid mentorship support.

Other Criteria: Must be a Nova Scotian Production Company, Applicant either completed the Amplified Voices Pre-Development Program as a producer OR the majority of owners self-identify as members of an Underrepresented Community, Must have an attached confirmed Nova Scotian Resident screenwriter who self-identifies as a member of an Underrepresented Community, Producer and screenwriter must be Emerging Talent (previously produced, directed, or written no more than one feature film or four hours of television content for commercial release), Demonstrated interest or experience in working in the screen industries, Applicant or screenwriter must show a track record of content creation (any screen format), Applicant and its team/shareholders are limited to one application per year, Project must be new and original, Project conceived as documentary, scripted feature film, one-off programming, short form digital series, or broadcast TV series, Must have a confirmed creative team (producer and screenwriter) at the time of application, If project’s development budget exceeds $20,000, additional financing (e.g., producer investments, distribution advance) must be confirmed at the time of application
