Money to develop or improve agricultural technology
Non-repayable contributions are available for research, development, and demonstration activities, while repayable contributions (interest-free loans) are provided for commercialization and scaling up of clean technologies. The program offers a maximum of $2 million per project. Enhanced cost-sharing (60:40) may be available for businesses majority-owned or led by under-represented groups.

Other Criteria: for-profit organizations (including agri-food processors), not-for-profit organizations (including co-operatives), Indigenous groups, legal entities capable of entering into legally binding agreements, projects focused on pre-market innovation, research, development, demonstration, and commercialization of clean technologies, projects demonstrating significant potential for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions, projects in green energy/energy efficiency, precision agriculture, or bioeconomy, technology has been tested and is ready for the next stage of commercial development, demonstrates a market need and demand for the technology
