Money for agricultural producers to buy clean technology
Non-repayable contributions for the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technology or equipment upgrades that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG), fertilizer, and methane emissions in the agriculture and agri-food sector. Standard cost-sharing is a maximum of 40% AAFC contribution to eligible costs, with a minimum 60% applicant cash contribution. An enhanced cost-share of a maximum 50% AAFC contribution is available for businesses majority-owned by under-represented groups.

Other Criteria: For-profit organizations (businesses, corporations, individuals/sole-proprietorships, co-operatives, partnerships, Indigenous groups), Canadian entity or incorporated in Canada, Must have secured own portion of financial contributions per cost-share ratios before applying, Project activities must be eligible under the program (adoption of commercially available clean technology or equipment upgrades), Project must reduce greenhouse gas (GHG), fertilizer, and/or methane emissions, Legal entity capable of entering into binding agreements, Have not previously received funding from the Adoption Stream, Submit only one application (including subsidiaries) over the life of the program (2021-2026), Preference given to projects with higher GHG, fertilizer, or methane emission reductions, Enhanced cost-sharing (50% AAFC : 50% Applicant) available for businesses where the majority (50%+) is owned by one or more under-represented groups (Indigenous Peoples, Youth aged 35 or under, Women, Visible minorities, Persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQI+)
