Financial support for Indigenous entrepreneurs
Provides non-repayable equity contributions and business services for Indigenous individuals and community businesses to start, expand, or acquire a business. It also supports Indigenous-led financial institutions and business development organizations to enhance access to capital through developmental loans, loan guarantees, interest rate buy-downs, business advisory services, and training for Indigenous businesses. Individual Indigenous entrepreneurs can receive up to $99,999, while eligible Indigenous community businesses can receive up to $250,000. Contributions may be repayable based on project success, with exemptions for smaller amounts or specific organizational structures.
