Loans for Indigenous entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada
Gives Indigenous-owned businesses in Atlantic Canada a loan to start, expand, or improve their operations. Loans can be as much as $750,000.
Ulnooweg offers several financing options and non-repayable contributions. Loan programs include Micro Lending (up to $5,000 at 9.25% over 2 years), Women & Youth Lending (up to $25,000 at 8% over 5 years), and General Lending (up to $750,000 for individuals, up to $1.5 million for communities, over 20 years). The Aboriginal Business Financing Program (ABFP) provides non-repayable contributions for eligible costs: up to 75% for business plans, 40% for establishment/expansion, 60% for marketing, and 90% for business support/management. All programs include comprehensive advisory services, business planning guidelines, workshops, gender-specific training, and mentorship to support Indigenous entrepreneurs.
